Magazine Issue Topics

In this blog, I will primarily focus on ideas for the individual issues my team members and I are required to create.
First, we need to brainstorm ideas of different areas we can do for the magazine. This is because basic travel magazine conventions involve different places for each issue of the magazine. This is a travel magazine so each issue should ideally be the same area in different seasons, or 3 different areas (since there is a total of 3 people in the group).

However, based on some research of “25 of the Best Travel Magazines” it is more conventional to do the different issues based on different areas rather than different seasons. This decision was based on looking at the popular travel magazines and seeing what they targeted with their issues. Most of them ended up having different areas in each issues. For instance one magazine can be focused on Paris while the other can focus on Italy. With this being said, my group and I have to rely on the pictures we already have for the different areas we have to cover.

Because I have not taken title page worthy pictures in other countries, I will be creating a travel magazine in Miami, since I live near Miami.

My partner Jose will be choosing from the following locations:
- (Zermatt, Switzerland)
- (Cancun, Mexico)
- (Madrid, Spain)
- (Paris, France)
- (Venice, Italy)

Lastly, my other partner Gabriel will be focusing on Panama for his magazine since he already has quality pictures to use.

In my next blog post I will be deciding on which name will be presented on the masthead of the magazine and will decide which website I will be using to create my magazine.
